The Seasons diary - March 2018

I thought I'd start a new series of monthly posts - something like a diary of sorts, to share what's happening behind the scenes, as well as some extra shots that don't make it here. Of the latter, I am realising that I share a VERY SMALL amount of what I actually shoot on a weekly basis. There's so much I could be showing you but, honestly, it would take ages to load a single blog post if I shared more than 15 photos! The living room Early in March I took these living room p

    Room reveal: My home office

If you go through the blog archive you'll see that this blog really took off in 2015. As I started to invest more time on the blog, at some point I decided that I didn't want to spend more time with a laptop on the sofa. There were plenty of rooms to use in our house and we definitely had enough furniture lying around to make a new home office from scratch without investing in anything new. Around January 2015, murals company Surface View was running a competition to win one

Indoors & Outdoors styling for the summer

The end of May always signifies a change for our home. The weather is warm enough to go out and STAY out. So throughout the month we have been preparing for the massive exodus into our garden. The funny thing is that when we first saw the property and decided to put an offer in it, most of the garden was hibernating (it was early March) and we had thought 'Boy, we have to buy a few plants alright..". Little did we know then that come mid April our garden would fully awaken. B

    Switch off

Switch off. I live just outside London. I take care of the school run every morning, commute to the City of London and then come back in the afternoon to pick the little one from his after-school club, get him home, cook fresh for the family, read with Junior, you get the message. Life is fast paced around our household, so every now and then, I like to stop, switch off completely from the online world for a day or two and take things slow. Really slow. Me-time-do-not-disturb

    Before we were here

Over the years we have moved a lot. I met my husband in 2004. Our first flat was a one-bed flat behind the Chelsea town hall at King's Court South. The location was fabulous. We walked everywhere, caught our bus outside Habitat, our train from Sloane Square, would meet at Peter Jones after work and would have burgers at Henry J Bean's garden in the summer (well, Henry J's is now the Ivy Garden Chelsea and you cannot set a foot in unless your blood runs blue or you have the pa

Roundup - My best 5 posts in 2015

12 months ago, more or less, I started blogging through Seasons in Colour. Sometimes I wonder why I didn't start earlier. Like, 5-6 years earlier. Damn. But still, I cannot complain, it's been a great first year and I got more out of it than I expected. Basically, I stayed sane. I started with an idea of covering interiors, lifestyle and fashion, but soon understood that my personal time was waaaaay too limited to cover it all. It would be mediocre and doomed. So, I changed t
