2024 trends according to experts

1/ Wood effect tiles

Wood effect tiles are nothing new, however, for 2024 they get re-invented with a slat-effect (much like the popular acoustic panels) as well as in curved style. The outcome? Added texture for your bathroom walls.

How much will these cost me?
  • Tile experts Mandarin Stone offer the Riga Slat Decor Wood Effect Ceramic tiles at under £47/m or £15.58 per piece. The tile is sized at 1000mm x 333mm and can be used in a horizontal or vertical pattern.

  • When placed vertically, you would need approximately 14 pieces to tile inside a 90x90cm shower at a cost of only £218.

  • For a normal size wall (3m long by up to 2.5m high) you are looking at 25 tiles which brings the cost to around £390.

  • If you are working with a tight budget but still want these tiles in your life, consider tiling lower (e.g. 1.5m from the floor only if you have a bathtub without a shower) or just tiling behind a basin in an otherwise white-painted bathroom.
